What does NRTH cost?

NRTH charges a simple per-collection fee with no monthly costs, no setup fees, and no charges for failed payments.

NRTH charges 1% + 20p (+ VAT) on every payment successfully collected. That is the only fee you pay.

There are no monthly charges, no subscription, no setup fees, and no cost to add team members or connect your accounting software.

What counts as a collection

The fee applies to every successful collection across all payment types: Direct Debit invoice collection, Payment Links, open banking payments, and Recurring Payments. For Split Payments, the fee applies to each individual instalment as it is collected.

What you are not charged for

Failed payment attempts and retries are free. Cancellations made before the 3-day Direct Debit collection window are free. Adding team members is free. Connecting Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage is free. There are no setup or onboarding costs.

Refunds

If a payment is refunded after it has already been collected, the fee is not returned. NRTH has already processed the collection at that point. If you cancel a payment before the 3-day Direct Debit window closes, no fee is charged.

VAT

All NRTH fees are subject to VAT at the standard rate.
