Your payout account must match your registered business name

NRTH only pays out to a business bank account in the same name your company is registered under at Companies House.

To keep your money secure, NRTH only pays out to a business bank account in the same name your company is registered under at Companies House.

What this means

  • If your company is registered as ABC Trading Ltd, your payout account must be in the name ABC Trading Ltd.

  • Personal accounts can't receive payouts, including an account in a director's own name.

  • An account in another company's name can't receive payouts, even if that company is connected to yours.

Why we do this

Matching your bank account to your Companies House record confirms your money is going to the business we've verified. It protects you, your customers and NRTH from fraud.

What happens if the names don't match

Your payments will still be collected, but your payout will be held until a matching business account is connected.

How to fix it

  1. Log in to your NRTH account.

  2. Go to Settings.

  3. Disconnect your current bank account.

  4. Connect your business account in your company's registered name.

Can't connect it yourself? Email [email protected] with the account name, bank name, sort code and account number, and we'll set it up for you.

Quick check

Before connecting, make sure the name on your business bank account matches the company name on your Companies House record.
